If you could give one piece of advice to new social workers, what would it be?

You may feel like you want to do it all and maybe even like you can do it all. Remember your limits and recognize your strengths.  What you give has value and it's important to give it intentionally.

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long week?

Lately, I’ve loved some pizza, a movie and a lego set.

A client appointment or a meeting is cancelled 15 minutes for it was scheduled to begin:

How are you likely to spend that “found” hour?

Thinking that I should be doing notes but probably answering emails/phone calls, rewriting my to do list and planning a session.

What would be your preferred way to spend that “found” hour?

Probably depends on the day but anything from taking a nap to checking off errands to getting a massage.

If you were granted 3 wishes, what would you wish for?

  1. An end to violence and hate across the world.
  2. A healthy planet
  3. All people have what they need in this world.

If you were not a social worker, what would be your fantasy career?

I would choose two things:

  1. Open a bakery that focuses on gourmet cookies and craft cocktails. It would be a cookie bar.
  2. Become a photojournalist who specializes in food photography and travels around the world eating amazing things and highlighting local cuisine.

What do you binge watch?

The Great British Bake Off
