There have been many challenges to labor rights over the last few years. More recently, unemployment benefits have been a target of conservatives, particularly restrictions that would impact benefits and the timing of those benefits for working families. Additionally, Iowans who are pregnant have very few rights during pregnancy and after giving birth. Efforts are under way to ensure reasonable accommodations for pregnant Iowans.
