What is A-NOD? How does one navigate in a Situational Moment, especially during a crisis when dealing with Situational Anxieties, Invisible Disabilities, and Sensory Health Concerns, while being aided by our First Responders.

About the presenter

Diane Marie Thacker holds a BA in Human Services from Grandview College. Has worked as a Youth Service Worker/Supervisor with Children and Families of Iowa (Sex Offender Group Homes) and Youth Service Provider for The Polk County Juvenile Detention Center both overnights and days. Have 19 years of raising four sons who deal with anxiety invisible disabilities and sensory health conditions, 5+ year of forming a For Profit Business: A-NOD For Situational Awareness LLC and 2+years of forming our Nonprofit Organization A-NOD INC. Created Break Out Sessions both virtually during Covid and Hybrid For Please Pass the Love Conferences, We Can Conference with Ask Resource Center, Sensory Spaces at the Urbandale Library, presented A-NOD to Town Hall Meetings, to Police and Fire Departments, City Hall Meetings, Score Mentoring Meetings, LLC Business Luncheons, Nonprofit Organizations as well as worked with  those organizations connected to those with the advocacy skills that speak with Senators and Legislators and educationally participated in the Drake Acceleration Class for Business and currently participating in , EngageDSM: a six week program with the City of Des Moines engaging in the ins and outs of 17 City Entities to learn how they provide for their Des Moines Residents, as well working with the Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Center, and in the beginning stages of partnering with the Alzheimer’s Awareness Group, as well as participates in our City Parades of Pleasant Hill and Indianola Chambers as well as within  our annual Iowa State Parade winning four times winning second place in our section.
