I spoke with representatives at the Pearson-Vue test sites across the state and in Omaha on Thursday, April 16th. All are open and administering the Association of Social Work Board (ASWB) tests. Some sites have a few slots open in the month of April.
If you have not registered with ASWB that is your first step:
If you have already registered, visit this site:
The West Des Moines test center, at this time, is only making appointments for the month of April, as they are waiting to see what the Governor does with her proclamation, which is scheduled to expire on 4-30-2020.
The Coralville test center is scheduling tests for the month of May, as they expect to be open.
The Omaha location is administering the ASWB test. The person I spoke thinks that there may be a few slots open for April. Because they had bumped all the test takers originally, they have limited openings now that they have re-opened. He reassured me that they are disinfecting all equipment both before a test taker sits down and afterwards. Because of social distancing, their capacity is down 50%.
The Sioux City location is also open 4 hours per day and administering the ASWB tests. The woman I spoke to there didn’t think that they have any openings left. She said that they are not sure what their corporate office is going to do in the month of May.
The Davenport office is open, but was not as forthcoming as the other sites. They are administering social work tests. The person I spoke to simply referred me to the Pearson-VUE toll free number.
